February 2005: Representation at
International Conference: Arnold Roth was Israel's representative in
an international conference in Bogota, Colombia, dealing with terror victims and their role
in society. The conference, held in February 2005,
was attended by about a thousand delegates from the United States,
Ireland, Chile, Spain, Russia, Indonesia, Colombia and other countries
coping with the effects of terrorism. Roth, whose teenage daughter was
murdered by Hamas terrorists in 2001, spoke about Israel's experience in
battling an enemy which does not hesitate to use suicide as a weapon, and
which both targets and exploits children. Roth has been deeply involved as
an advocate for Israel in the international media, and served as the
spokesperson last year for Israeli families taking part in an alternative
hearing process in The Hague where the International Court of Justice was
considering a multilateral attack on the legitimacy of its security

CHAPTER IN INTELLECTUAL
PROPERTY PUBLICATION: The firm has
completed its chapter on Israeli law regarding digital
signatures (written by Sonia Shnyder), which will appear in "E-Commerce
and the Law of Digital Signatures",
a loose-leaf treatise produced by the Center for International
Legal Studies (ed. Dennis Campbell)
published
in 2005 by Oceana Publications of New York. The
publication, aimed at foreign lawyers and business persons, is an
extensive survey of this area of law in different
national jurisdictions, and the firm was the sole Israeli firm to

WITH DEAD SEA SCROLLS EXHIBITION: The firm has
been retained to assist the Pacific Science Center of Seattle, Washington,

Zell, Goldberg & Co. has recently established a task force dealing with
issues and opportunities relating to the recently ended war in Iraq.
The Firm, together with the Federal Market Group (www.gbs-llc.com)

coalition countries in implementing infrastructure and other

In February 2002, ZGC attorneys L. Marc Zell and Sonia Shnyder attended
the opening of the Israeli Business Centre in Moscow. The Centre,
established under the aegis of the Israel-Russia Trade and Industry Chamber,
is intended to promote trade and industrial cooperation between Israeli
and Russian business communities and to facilitate the entrance and operation
of Israeli companies in the Russian market. The opening ceremony
was attended by top Israeli government officials and prominent Israeli
and Russian businessmen and professionals. The speakers at the event
included the Construction Minister Nathan Sharansky, the Deputy Minister
of the Prime Ministers Office Yuri Stern, the Ambassador of the
